'Who gave you this?', I asked.

' I had gone to purchase tyres recently and the shop owner gave me this sticker. I asked him about its meaning. He told me what it was about. I like it and stuck it here.'

' Why did you like it so much?'

' If everything runs smooth, what is there in life sir, tell me! There has to be some trouble, some tolerance, some solution, again, it must move on...what would you say?'

' Quite right. You are quite smart!'

Glenn Cunningham lost his legs at the age of 5. The doctors gave up.But he got up the next week. 'The doctors have seen only my legs, not my heart. I will now run faster than ever before!', this is what he said.

Glenn broke the world record once in 1500m . He clocked 4 m 6 seconds. He was paid homage as the athlete of the century at the Madison Square gardens.

Dr. Abdul Kalam has said this-Our planet earth is moving according to a rhythm. Each particle on the planet is an inseparable part in this perpetual motion! If I am on this planet,I am an intrinsic part of its strength.The essential power of this planet is also inside me. Evidently, the determination inside us is related to the energy around us. Conversely, the energy around us is also related to our mind!

Ancient Indian wisdom tells a small story. A teacher asked his students,' What is that which appears most powerful?'

The students said,' The mountains seem to be unmoved, really powerful.'

' What is that which is more powerful than the mountains?'

' Iron. It can break them...'

' What is more powerful?'

' Fire. This can melt iron'

' What surpasses fire in strength?'

' Water. This can remove fire.'

' What goes beyond water?'

' Wind. This moves water!'

' What is more powerful than wind?'

The students started to think. The teacher did not hasten them either.

' What is stronger than wind? ', he asked again gently.

The students closed their eyes.' That which expands, moves and grows.That is life energy, the Prana!'

' What is stronger than Prana?'

The students opened their eyes. Who makes Prana? they contemplated.

' What are you using for your probe?', asked the teacher.

' The mind.'

' What is the strength the mind is possessed of?'

'...'

' The will'

' How?'

' You might be very powerful but your strength moves only with your will.If you do not intend to procreate? there is no life energy and there shall not be so many forms of life.'

There is magnetism around a current carrying conductor.If a motor moves inside a magnetic field,electricity is (re)produced!

 Rudram states, ' Sumatishchame!'

The mind is not inside us. We are inside the mind, inside its will...

 'PRESENT'-Vedantam Sripatisarma 

The board reflected just two letters-O & M. The teacher asked the students to expand it the way they liked. Several expansions were given. The teacher wiped out everything. ' I will open this..', he said. He then gave a gap between O and M. He filled up the gap by writing ' Open Mind'. 'Those who do not have this...', he said,' can go out!' The students pondered. The teacher laughed.' Well. Make an attempt to get this with you!'

The students relaxed. There was some thought on this.

' Are you thinking? look at the board again ', he said. This time, he wrote the

word' Present'.

' Pronounce this word like a three year old kid.'

There was silence. some tried to do so. One student said ' Pleasant'.

The teacher clapped.

' Correct..', he said, writing the word 'Pleasant' ...,' in my dictionary, both are same!'

The students relaxed. ' I f we are not in the present...', said the teacher,'... we can never be pleasant. The small kids do not dwell in the past nor are they worried about the future. They are in the present. So only present is pleasant.'

'Play from your heart...', whose words are these?

There was silence. 'Vivian Richards', said the teacher, If you want to be creative, you need to enjoy whatever you are doing.'

  There are now three elements-An Open mind, To be in the present,and enjoying whatever you are doing.All the three are complementary. Fine. You need to do something now! Where will you begin?Quite simple. Did I ring up the Sun and ask him to rise in the East? These 24 hours have come to me like a boon, a gift, a present,a pleasant surprise. So we shall start with the present. The rest will follow!
